On Tuesday evening Ikon Gallery was delighted to host the launch of a new novel, Paper Lanterns, by local author Christine Coleman. An enthusiastic audience of around 90 people enjoyed a lively discussion between Christine and her childhood friend, TV cook Clarissa Dickson-Wright, followed by a reading and book signing.
Christine and Clarissa also took the opportunity to sample Café Ikon’s tapas which proved a great success:
“I have to tell you that the Morcilla (Spanish black pudding) was the best preparation of Morcilla that I have ever eaten and if they want to quote me they can. I was most impressed and it has been quite a long time since I have been most impressed. It was absolutely delicious. I may lie about other things but I never lie about food”. Clarissa Dickson-Wright
