It is with great sadness that we learn of the death of John Madin, especially as our work at Ikon has often been inspired by him, his vision and ambition for Birmingham.
In fact our current exhibition of work by Stuart Whipps, a young Birmingham artist, is in large part an homage to John Madin. It now becomes a memorial, hopefully pointing the way to the major retrospective this important architect deserves.
