Continuing our series of gallery installation documentaries, this latest film follows Matias Faldbakken during his time at Ikon. He talks engagingly about his approach to making art; referring to his exploration and subversion of gallery conventions and discussing how his art is a response to the inherent destructive nature of avant gardism and to "abstraction as an attitude, rather than aesthetical practice".
The film features footage of, Abstracted Car, the charred remains of a Mercedes Benz car, being crane lifted into the first floor galleries.
