British artist Ruth Claxton has been creating new work in Ikon’s former Eastside space on Heath Mill Lane in Digbeth. Ikon closed its 2007 Eastside space on Halloween with a hugely successful party in collaboration with 7inch Cinema. Claxton moved in at the end of 2007 and has been using the old factory’s large spaces as a studio to make work for her major exhibition at Ikon from 2 April – 18 May.
