Flatpack Festival at Ikon Eastside

Ikon and 7 Inch Cinema present a weekend of film screenings, performance and discussion at Ikon Eastside on 14 and 15 March. The weekend forms part of Flatpack Festival 2009 which takes place from 11 to 15 March across Birmingham.

 

Privilege

 
The screenings at Ikon Eastside include a rare glimpse of the 1965 BBC documentary devoted to John Madin, architect of Birmingham Library. This film is introduced by writer Catherine O’Flynn.

Other screenings are Privilege, an off-the-wall satire of the 1960’s music industry by Peter Watkins, Man with Mirror, a work by contemporary filmmaker Guy Sherwin and a collection of experimental shorts from the CYRK collective, CYRK_POINTS AND SLASHES.
