Reverend Billy and his Gospel Choir of Life After Shopping, travel the globe singing, preaching, charming and berating consumers to put away their credit cards and resist profit-driven marketeering.

Reverend Billy, the infamous New York-based performance artist and activist who is banned from every Starbucks in the US, makes his only Midlands appearance as part of his ‘UK Shopacalypse Tour’.  Surrounded by his Gospel Choir, he will give a free open-air performance outside Ikon Gallery on May 29 at 5.30 until 6.30pm to shoppers and workers in Brindleyplace.

Free screenings of What Would Jesus Buy?  will take place on Saturday 23, Sunday 24 and Bank Holiday Monday 25 May at 4pm, in the Events Room at Ikon.
