For the current exhibitionn at Ikon Eastside, Ikon presents a sculptural piece by Chinese artist Xu Zhen; a slightly-larger-than-life-size replica of a mosquito.
One of The Last Few Mosquitoes, it sits alone on the wall of the otherwise-empty gallery and, on closer inspection, appears to be sucking blood from the building, glowing red as it ingests the nutrition it needs.
The Last Few Mosquitoes is on until 5 July.
