Ikon is pleased to announce the second round of speakers for the popular series These are a few of my favourite things. Amongst those who will be revealing their cultural inspirations during August and September are renowned choreographer Siobhan Davies, playwright David Edgar and artists Simon & Tom Bloor.
Since June, key figures from Birmingham’s cultural life have been invited to Ikon to discuss their eight favourite works of art, in a format loosely inspired by Desert Island Discs.
The series coincides with summer late night opening, where Ikon remains open until 8pm every Wednesday until 9 September.
Each talk starts at 6.30 and lasts for about an hour. Places are free but if you are interested in attending any of the talks, please call Ikon to reserve a place on 0121 248 0708.
