Hardback, black and white illustrations, 64 pages, W190mm x H235mm
This title features black and white photographs of Richard Deacon's
plastic-art models taken by Deacon and Niels Dietrich in 2003 and 2004.
The photographs were shot in Cologne close to Dietrich's workshop,
where Deacon has his ceramic sculptures produced, and in the
neighbourhood of Deacon's studio in London.
Photographed in close-up or
amongst surroundings, the maquettes have been brought to a state of
disembodiment and allow us a glimpse of the elementary repertoire that
Deacon has developed and the impulsive way he deals with clay inspired
by the phenomena he sees in the world around him.
