This catalogue accompanies Losi's first solo exhibition in the Stenersen Museum, Oslo, Norway.
Her continuing interest in and respect for nature is a unifying element in her work. A strong conceptual current runs alongside her respect for handiwork and textiles.
With works such as Ryokan Project; Dopo il Danubio and Shigras, Losi transmutes international myths, traditions and lifestyles into carefully crafted and elegant objects. These include globes made from thread, fish made from woolen military blankets and washrags or traditionally knitted bags. These beautiful objects often serve an elegiac purpose, with underlying subtexts of human frailty and ruination.
