Richard Deacon

Produced to accompany Personals, Richard Deacon’s exhibition at Ikon, this catalogue depicts a selection of Deacon’s new and recent works through a range of full-colour photographs. With a foreword by Ikon Director, Jonathan Watkins, the publication also includes an informative essay exploring Deacon’s influences and themes by Penelope Curtis, Curator of the Henry Moore Institute, Leeds as well as a biography.

Of particular note are the full-page photographic presentations of In My Father’s House, with the newspaper pages that comprise the work arranged to allow close examination and the graphite drawings of Alphabet represented in full.

The catalogue also includes a multiple-page photographic meditation on Deacon’s monumental Out of Order sculpture.
