This is German artist, Jürgen Partenheimer’s first exhibition in the
UK, a major solo presentation comprising new and recent painting, works
on paper, and sculpture. It reveals the interconnectivity of his
essentially Modernist practice, especially through its manifestations
at different locations, in Ikon Gallery and off-site.
Partenheimer’s work is rooted in abstraction, but across many forms,
expressing connections between art, poetry, music and literature, and
importantly their place in everyday life.
Accompanying this catalogue is a CD of music, The Partenheimer Project by world-renowned composer Kevin Volans.
