Paperback, colour photographs, 35 pages, W170 x H210mm

This fully illustrated catalogue accompanied the juneau/projects/ exhibition at Ikon in March 2006 which presented existing work alongside two major new commissions.

juneau/projects/ test the limits of electronic gadgets. While finding ourselves increasingly reliant and in love with gadgetry, our expectations of an efficient, time-saving future are often dashed.

Early works involve consumer objects, such as mobile phones, CD walkmans, computers, televisions and tape machines, distressed and abused by the artists in a process leading to their destruction. These wilfully ingenious acts are documented on video and displayed alongside the tattered remains.

This publication features a foreword by Ikon Director Jonathan Watkins and Karen MacKinnon, an essay by Nigel Prince and a transcription of a conversation about the work between Adam Sutherland and Ceri Hand. The catalogue also contains colour illustration and documentation of an education project undertaken by juneau/projects/ with local school children.
