Collis' practice involves the representation of everyday objects, made through a pain staking use of craft processes and precious materials. The edition is typical of her subtle interventions into exhibition spaces where beautiful simulations of things usually concealed are presented. The idea of the double take is crucial in her work, objects disclosing their true nature on closer scrutiny.
To coincide with Collis' exhibition at Ikon, she has produced a new edition, a pair of hand carved winged Rawlplugs.
