In his new, limited edition book Muzik Kinda Sweet , Birmingham-based
photographer Pogus Caesar celebrates iconic Black musicians. Specially
commissioned and published by Punch and OOM Gallery, the book features
evocative, nostalgic and largely unpublished images of musical legends
including Stevie Wonder, Grace Jones and Lee Scratch Perry.
The highly
collectable and anticipated book launches at the Midlands Arts Centre on
Friday 15 October 2010. Shot entirely in black and white on a Canon
Sure Shot autofocus camera purchased in the 1980s, the photographs
offer a stark alternative to the digital performance photography of
today.

Birmingham, documenting a spectrum of well-known personalities and
recording significant events including the; Handsworth riots, Birmingham
tornado and the regeneration of the Bullring.
