Hardback, full colour images, 84 pages W195mm x H271mm
This beautifully designed catalogue includes full colour images of Claxton's Lands End installation at Ikon, a foreword by Ikon Director, Jonathan Watkins, an essay by Sally O'Reilly and Ruth Claxton and Marie-Anne McQuay in Conversation.
Claxton has become widely known for her constructed installations, populated with porcelain figurines, collected from car-boot sales, junk shops and internet auction sites. Claxton ‘blinds’ these figures through sculptural intervention so that their vision is obscured, paradoxically, by what it is they would otherwise see.
