Taking the current exhibitions by artists John Myers and Stuart Whipps as its starting point, this round-table discussion centres on the various ways photographers have made work in response to the region from the 1970s to today.
Jonathan Watkins, Ikon Director, chairs the lively discussion with Whipps and Myers themselves, joined by artist Richard Billingham and Eugénie Shinkle, Senior Lecturer in Photographic Theory and Criticism at the University of Westminster.
