Anri Sala

25 September – 10 November 2002

Anri Sala is one of an emerging generation of artists whose work is informed by social and political tension. He explores the blurred lines between history and biography, fiction and reality through video, photography and animation. His richly textured images are embroidered with pain, disillusion, loss, ideas of responsibility and failure, closely bound to a painterly tradition.

This exhibition included Naturalmystic, a new installation, involving video footage of someone impersonating the sound of a tomahawk missile, its flight and subsequent explosion.
