Graham Gussin

17 April – 04 June 2002

This survey of work by British artist Graham Gussin included installation, drawing, film, video, sculpture and photography.

Gussin works with ideas that explore human comprehension, complicating our grasp of reality through suggestions of the unknown. New commissions included Remote Viewer, 2002, a video projection depicting Gussin travelling through Iceland, while, in a simultaneous projection, a 'remote viewer' - a gifted individual with telepathic ability - based in London, was attempting to pinpoint the artist's whereabouts, mentally navigating an infinity of possibilities.

Remote Viewer was commissioned by Film and Video Umbrella and Ikon Gallery, supported by the National Touring Programme of the Arts Council of England and The Henry Moore Foundation.
