Guy Bar-Amotz

Positive Vibration

01 July – 30 September 2000

In Positive Vibration 3, Bar-Amotz collaborated with a street busker to create an extraordinary karaoke experience. Video monitors showed the artist’s documentary of a day in the life of a typical busker, whilst an assertively homemade sound system played covers of classic popular songs, including Pink Floyd’s, Wish You Were Here, Dire Straits’ Romeo and Juliet and David Bowie’s Space Oddity. The karaoke was combined with another form of DIY entertainment, which gave the opportunity to musically accompany someone on the streets.
