On Thursday 20 March, Ikon held a celebratory event to mark the life of Dr Roi Kwabena who sadly passed away in January. Roi was part of the exhibition by Yuri Leiderman in July – September last year. The exhibition dealt with legacies of history and their manifestation in contemporary society, themes very close to Roi’s heart. This special event brought together the musicians who collaborated with him as part of the exhibition, including Chinese lute and harp players, an English folk violinist, African drummers and an Albanian clarinettist.
